So I stopped these lessons, but when Dave came in as the new drum teacher, I started my lessons back up. I was having group lessons in school but felt I could do better in an individual lesson, so I asked about private tuition and since I started private tuition with Dave, I went from grade 2 to grade 8 in 3-4 years! He’s a fantastic drummer, a great teacher, easy to learn from and doesn’t criticise when you make a mistake, instead he builds your confidence! I was a student of Dave's for 4/5 years and grew from not only reading grade music, but playin from ear also. His knowledge and teaching has moulded me into the drummer I am today and couldn't have done it without him.

I've been having drum lessons with Dave for over 6 years and am currrently working towards grade 7. I really look forward to my weekly lessons with Dave as he has a fun an enthusiastic teaching style which works for me. It's great to have a teacher who is also a gigging musician as I've been able to go see him perform on several occassions. More recently due to COVID-19 we've been having lessons online and whilst I'm looking forward to getting back to face to face lessons it's meant I've kept making progress. An all round great guy - highly recommended
